From Berkeley, California, the Famous Hits Band was formed in the ’80s by Richie Varrasso and his associated bandmates as a way to play clubs without using the headliner’s name. The alumni of professional musicians tells a story in itself.

The hit songs played by these cats reflect the sounds of San Francisco Bay Area music at its finest. His band brought out the culture and flavor of the artists from the City of Love.

Richie is now located in Southern California and brings the spirit of his music with him, playing hit songs highlighted from Greg Kihn, Eddie Money, Montrose, The Tubes, Gregg Allman, Tom Petty, and many other artists on the list of top music nobility.

The Sounds of San Francisco come alive while an action-packed set of known hits with B-sides and stories from the road’s big festivals is captured on a small stage with community neighborhood folk.
