It's a matter of time. 50 years to be exact. And in that time Los Lobos have created an unprecedented body of work, a legacy of greatness. The numbers are staggering: 100+ gigs a year for five decades running, crossing millions of miles to rock millions of fans. And that's just at the live shows. In between they've recorded 17 studio albums, 7 live LPs, 3 compilations, 2 EPs, 2 DVDs, and contributed 40+ guest appearances on their friends' recordings — all garnering 5 Grammys, an Austin City Limits Hall of Fame induction, the ALMA Richie Valens Pioneer Award, NEA and Hispanic Heritage Foundation Honors, Congressional recognitions, plus countless "Keys to the City" and "Los Lobos Day" celebrations. And those are just a few of the highlights. But beyond all the hoopla and applause (and the source of it all, really) is the tremendous heart. Rather, hearts. Cinco corazones. Five blood brothers who have dedicated their off-stage time to helping others, working for peace and justice, penning some of the most literate and important music of their time, transforming the hard cries from the East L.A. barrio into songs of hope, tales of common folk finding ways to endure. The young wolves were weaned on late-night radio's soul, R&B, and doo-wop. Were cured through the African-American currents of the blues, jazz, and rock 'n' roll. An amalgam. As proud Chicanos, their songs have always glistened with the distillation from their Mexican and Latin American roots — nourished by Norteña and rancheras, buoyed by bolero and cumbias, soaring on the rhythms of son huasteco and son jarocho. Los Lobos have helped spread the rich diversity of cultures across every continent, throughout the global community. Kids in Antwerp now know about Aztlán. Residents of Luxor and Ghana are crooning Lalo Guerrero. People from Laos and Bulgaria are belting "La Bamba" — all thanks to The Wolves as cultural ambassadors. Talk about a living legacy. Talk about a productive half century. And in the true rebel spirit, they did it all on their own terms, against formula. For the ages. To our delight. Quite simply, they are one of the tightest, one of the best, one of the most prolific bands ever. And, amazingly, with the original founding members as the pack the entire time. Unprecedented. As their liner notes put it, quite simply: "Los Lobos still are David Hidalgo, Louie Pérez, Jr., Cesar Rosas, Conrad Lozano, Steve Berlin."

In summer 2024, they stepped into Daptone Records’ West Coast satellite, Penrose Studios, to record a brand-new 45 with producer Anthony Masino (Thee Sacred Souls, The Altons, The Mystery Lights). With a vintage soul and a psychedelic heartbeat, Seapoodle channels the golden era of surf rock through a modern San Diego lens. Born during the 2021 lockdown just steps from Windansea Beach, the band began as a guitar duo and has since evolved into an eight-piece collective, often joined by an extended family of guest musicians who bring new textures to their ever-shifting sound.

Their music blends 60s and 70s rock, Latin grooves, layered percussion, and reverb-soaked tones, designed to move like a wave, building, curling, and breaking with hypnotic energy. In 2024, they scored the surf film Confluence, further cementing their role in the evolving culture of California surf psychedelia.

From beachside jams to packed stages, Seapoodle delivers a live experience that flows between meditative and explosive, always grounded in rhythm.

Cody Carter, a rising talent in San Diego’s country music scene, is poised to steal your heart with his soulful tunes. In October of 2024 he was asked to open for Clint Black in San Diego. He's a 2024 San Diego Music Awards nominee for Best Country Song, Cody’s passion for music transcends mere notes and chords. 

A Journey of Love and Legacy: Cody’s journey began long before the spotlight found him. His father’s poignant words after witnessing a live performance still echo in his soul: “Kid, don’t ever abandon this music dream. You’ve got something extraordinary to share.” Those words, etched in memory, fueled Cody’s unwavering commitment to his craft. The birth of his son and daughter further ignited his musical fire, a legacy passed down from father to son.

From Iowa Highways to California Dreams: Picture young Cody, riding shotgun in his dad’s red pickup truck, Alan Jackson’s cassette tape spinning on repeat. Those Iowa highways carried more than just miles—they carried the seeds of Cody’s musical destiny. His eclectic taste—from Jackson Browne to Willie Nelson—shaped his soul, infusing country and rock 'n roll into his veins.

The Black Guitar and the Eagles’ Legacy: At 23, Cody took fate into his own hands. Armed with an old black guitar (a nod to Don Henley’s iconic instrument), he embarked on a musical odyssey. The Eagles’ “Hell Freezes Over” tour had left an indelible mark, and Cody was determined to create magic of his own.

San Diego’s Musical Oasis: Now a proud Southern California resident, Cody graces San Diego’s most sought-after live music venues. His country band, Ramblin’ Fever, boasts an all-star lineup: Nick Steckel (steel guitar), Cheyne Dolly (drums), Aaron Hook (bass), and Steven Crowle (electric guitar). They’ve carved out a residency at bars where country fans two-step their cares away.

Cody’s latest single, “Play Me One More”, is making waves. Produced by the talented Mike Butler, this no-nonsense track captures the essence of late country nights and was featured on Whiskey Riff’s New Country Music Friday’s playlist alongside heavyweights like Cody Johnson, Jason Aldean, Corey Kent, and Toby Keith.
