Her third album, THE BPM, embraces themes of self-will, rhythm as power, technology, romance, mental illness, and self-love. It was Executive Produced by Parks with Ben Dickey, alongside Eric Terhune, James McCall IV, her twin sister, touring band, Detroit cousins, and others. Chicago’s Black chamber collective D-Composed contributed strings.
Personas continue to shape her work:
Athena (2019) – classical goddess
Natural Brown Prom Queen (2022) – Britt, Cincinnati teen dreamer
THE BPM (2025) – Gadget Girl, a persona celebrating freedom through technology.
Tracks like “MY TYPE” explore sexuality and friendship, while “A COMPUTER LOVE” wrestles with societal expectations of marriage and family. “MS PAC MAN” takes a playful, irreverent turn. Much of the album draws on collaborative improvisation, highlighting Parks’ role as both artist and conductor of her creative circle.
THE BPM FAMILY includes: Taylor Henderson, Catherine Parks, Eric Terhune, Damon Terrell, Ben Dickey, James McCall IV, Kafari, Ghalani of Greenwood, Dexter Story, Zep, Jeremy Zumo Kollie, Red Charon, and Richard Lawrence
Currently based in LA but proudly hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, singer-songwriter Cydnee with a C is a colorfully imaginative budding artist steadily blazing her own path to dance-pop stardom. Her whimsical sound—glitched-out, sugar-sweet vocals paired with hypnotic bass-and-drum treatments—blends K-pop influences with her roots in R&B and rap. These elements were first crystallized on her 2023 EP Confessions of a Fangirl, a breathtakingly passionate ode to her love of K-pop and her appreciation for Korean culture. Cydnee further expanded this sonic universe with her latest project, POV [Th3rd Brain]. Deepening her bubblegum-electric aesthetic, sharpening her production, vocal playfulness, and narrative confidence while continuing to explore emotional perspectives. Together, the two projects chart her growth from a promising newcomer into a fully realized artist with a signature sound. Cydnee has cultivated a large following in part through her YouTube community of K-pop fans—an important source of connection and an ever-flowing fountain of inspiration that permeates her vivid, dance-pop catalog. Ultimately, Cydnee stands at the forefront of a new wave of genre-blending pop visionaries—an artist who turns fandom into artistry, cultural appreciation into creativity, and youthful imagination into a world entirely her own. As she continues to grow, her vibrant sonic universe only becomes brighter, bolder, and more irresistible.
