Known for his powerful stage presence, Carter Reeves and the band create a live show that’s both nostalgic and refreshing, sweeping audiences away with every note.

With the release of their eclectic debut single, "Sticky Treez," Bikini Trill has earned their place among Southern California's vibrant music scene. Combining the laid-back vibes of indie rock, the rhythmic pulse of hip-hop, and the infectious energy of reggae, the trio—comprised of vocalist Lauren ‘LJ’ Johnson, guitarist Tony Barker Stern, and bassist Kourosh ‘Roach’ Poursalehi—has crafted a distinct sound that resonates with the sun-soaked spirit of SoCal.
Bikini Trill burst onto the scene with their trippy surf-pop magic, captivating audiences with their debut at the legendary SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. Their first EP, "Wassup, We Good?" saw them rapidly gain momentum, leading to nationwide tours with acts like New Politics, The Score, and Reel Big Fish. Tracks like “Smoke a Jay & Watch Yourself Dance” and “Chapo Howl” not only caught the ear of MTV’s hit show "Teen Mom" but also found their way into Paramount Pictures' "Pretty Stoned.
"Their sophomore EP, "Nah, Pull Over," further solidified their place in the indie music scene. The stand out single “Lost Boy,” (a collaboration with Jared Watson of Dirty Heads) received airplay on 96.5FM The Buzz and was spotlighted on Spotify’s “Fresh Picks” playlist. A monumental nationwide amphitheater tour followed, sharing stages with 311, The Dirty Heads, and others, marking Bikini Trill as a must-see live act.
Despite the challenges of 2020, Bikini Trill continued to thrive, releasing a string of singles that kept their momentum alive. Songs like "Outlaw" and "No Sleep Till Cali" garnered attention from Uproxx, Earmilk, and over half a million Spotify streams, while socially distanced drive-in performances with Sublime with Rome kept them connected with fans.
Emerging from the pandemic, Bikini Trill hit the road again in 2021 with Kash’d Out and followed up in2022 with their latest project, "Hello, Welcome!" Recorded in their Koreatown studio, the album features standout tracks like “F*cked Up” with Australian rapper BLESSED and fan favorite “What’s the Rush, ”which earned a spot on KROQ’s "Top 22 Songs of 2022" and landed on Spotify's "Today's Indie Rock “playlist.
As they continue to tour and make waves at festivals, Bikini Trill is channeling their energy into their next big project: their debut self-titled album, slated for release in 2025 with Ineffable Music.
The best is yet to come with Bikini Trill. The band is constantly evolving, constantly creating, and constantly looking for new ways to connect with their devoted fanbase.
With Jamaican influence on international music inescapable in the current era, a new wave of exciting artists is emerging from the Caribbean island. One artist leading the charge for this global assault on the music industry is Tessellated, a multi-talented 24 year old Grammy & Emmy artiste/producer from Kingston who burst onto the scene in 2017 with his bona fide Caribbean hit collaboration – Pine & Ginger.
Citing influences from many genres, a unique blend of styles and sounds shapes the backdrop for Tessellated's musical endeavour. Through this, he aims to push forward a fusion of Jamaica’s roots presented alongside other world genres. With this original style, Tessellated has now carved out a lane of his own already garnering support from music industry heavyweights such as Camila Cabello, Lily Allen, Shaggy, Diplo, Major Lazer, Jorja Smith, Dua Lipa and more.
Continuing the trend of breaking boundaries, in 2019 Tessellated picked up a huge sync deal for his track ‘I Learnt Some Jazz Today’, a fusion of jazz, dancehall & hip hop, with Apple for their film ‘Bounce’ created for the release of their new AirPods. After its release, the song saw massive support worldwide, racking up several million plays in a matter of months and going #1 on the Jazz Billboard Chart, a first for a Jamaican artiste. In 2020, the spot went on to earn Tessellated an Emmy Nomination in the category of Outstanding Commercial.
In late 2020, Tessellated released his debut project ‘Tropics Vol. 1’ which since its release has garnered millions of streams worldwide and is counting to grow.
As a producer, Tessellated is also no newcomer, alongside self-producing his own records, his production has been featured on records from Tobi Lou, Jada Kingdom, Walshy Fire (of Major Lazer) and most recently Spice’s album ’10’ (executive produced by Shaggy) which secured him a Grammy nomination in the category of Best Reggae Album.
