KoGee Soul Reprise
KoGee Soul Reprise features R&B/Soul vocalist Kori Gillis. Born in the Chicagoland area, Kori comes from a musical family and has been heavily influenced by Motown, classic soul, gospel, and jazz. After graduating from the Armed Forces School of Music in Virginia Beach, Va., in 2004, he went on to become the lead male vocalist for both Navy Band Southwest as well as the Naval Forces Band Europe and Africa the following year. Kori has performed for millions of people throughout Africa, Europe and the US while serving his country. Currently, he resides in San Diego, CA., and performs around the Southern California area, promoting his first original project, the San Diego Award- nominated Best R&B album, Silver Lining.
Sometimes Julie

Sometimes Julie, one of San Diego’s most engaging and original rock bands, emerged from a chance collaboration between singer-songwriters Monica Sorenson and Rick Walker in 2012.

Walker, former guitarist for Chicago’s Greeley, is a multi-instrumentalist who reveals his rock and roll genius as he defines Sometimes Julie’s unique sound. Sorenson paints the pictures, finds the words, tells the stories, and delivers the melodies with her powerful vocals. Walker is the theory, the rhythm, the science, the skill, and Sorenson is the front woman who is all heart and art.

The duo’s first collaboration gave birth to their award-winning 2014 debut CD, HEAD FIRST, the title track of which generated substantial buzz, getting spins on both terrestrial and internet radio, and won an Akademia Music Award for best Americana music video. As implied, this album is all about being impulsive, taking risks, and doing what you love.

Sometimes Julie’s second release, the EP entitled BRIGHT SIDE OF THE LINE (2016), marked the duo’s evolution to a more rocking sound as they were joined by the eminently talented Berklee-grad Bruce Paul Allen (bassist/co-writer), and San Diego music scene legend, Anthony Sarain (keyboards, sax, flute). The songs on Bright Side speak to the power of intense love and profound loss.

BREAKING, released in June 2018 to resounding critical acclaim, represents a quantum leap in the band’s evolution. It rocks hard!!! Hair metal refugee Alberto Moreno, lead guitarist and pivotal member of the band, truly shines on this EP. His energy and showmanship are something to behold as he and Sorenson play off of each other’s voices in these hard-hitting tunes about pushing it to the limit.

Sometimes Julie is exploding now with the addition of San Diego music stalwart, the one and only Dave Fuller (drums). Dave’s unique style and groove appear effortless as he holds the beat for Monica, Rick, Al, Bruce, and Anthony, laying a solid foundation, granting freedom to claim new musical territory.

WHERE ARE YOU?Sometimes Julie's fourth, and latest release (2020), is truly a full-band affair with each band member's musical influences worn plainly on Sometimes Julie's proverbial sleeves. From Sorenson's distinctive voice and provocative lyrics, to Moreno's aggressive guitar, to Allen's melodic bass, to Sarain's sublime sax, to Fuller's rock-steady drums, to Walker's intricate arrangements - it is all there waiting for the taking.

Sometimes Julie performs hard-driving rock with deep-seated blues and Americana influences. Their raw, sexy sound will stir up your passionate side!

The Naked I

The Naked I, has been described, in short, as “Your mom’s favorite new band in town" (Like a Rolling Stone Magazine). Their upbeat songs blend the sounds of modern pop structure, with old-school funk and blues-rock. A combination that has captured the attention of fans from both the younger and older generations!

Their latest release, "The Got Thomas!" was nominated Best Pop Album in San Diego 2021, and they have since been nominated twice more for Best Pop Artist in San Diego (2022, 2023). They are always loaded with a high-energy setlist guaranteed to make you wanna groove!

Alyssa Jacey
Alyssa Jacey is an award-winning singer/songwriter whose stage performances are “utterly endearing,” raves best selling author James Noles. “Alyssa has a natural ability to make immediate, authentic connections with her audiences,” says world renowned manager, Doc McGhee (who currently still manages KISS, managed Darius Rucker, discovered Bon Jovi and others). She was just shy of 24 when she learned she could sing and had a knack for songwriting. Opposed to following the rulebook of having to “pick a genre and stick to it,” Jacey has unashamedly stayed true to who she is as an original artist since day one. She has consistently continued to write and release a wide range of musical styles, including pop (dream/rock/indie/other), country, R&B, blues, soul, reggae, folk, Americana and since 2017, rap. All of these styles can be enjoyed by both visiting the discography page on this site, and by downloading her brand new album, “Showing Up,” with more than half the 11 songs already playing on local and nationwide radio.  Rapping in her pop songs while playing at least three instruments at a time is how her fans came to aptly nickname her as “The Female Ed Sheeran.” Musically, she’s opened for Bruno Mars, Andy Grammer, Maren Morris, Lisa Loeb, Shawn Colvin and over 30 others, touring the world as a one-woman-band. However, you might have seen her on a bigger stage before her music career started, sharing the Super Bowl 37 Halftime Show as a professional dancer with Shania, Sting, Bon Jovi and No Doubt. A few particularly notable things about AJ’s reputation that precede her; her work ethic as a DIY indie, enthusiastic and comedic personality, and most importantly, how she uses her blue brand to donate to Alzheimer’s. “My grandma was my everything. We were extremely close. I was with her all the way through her last few breaths. She passed from Alzheimer’s 1 month after I started singing and never got to see a show. I promised myself that if I ever got to a place where I could give back through music, Alzheimer’s would be my charity and I’d use my blue brand to do it.” Her addiction, as she calls her love affair with blue, started when she was 16. By the time her singing career began about a decade later, she had unknowingly already branded herself as the blue girl. “I use the phrase ‘Bring the crew and wear your BLUE!’ to encourage fans (aka The Blue Crew) to bring their friends to shows and deck themselves out in their favorite shades of blue. It’s a fun way to connect with each other, but more importantly, for every person who dresses in all blue, $1 from their ticket will get donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. That way we’re all making a difference and continuing to celebrate the life of my Grammy, Eleanor.”
