Island Grunge is a pop rock genre and subculture that emerged during the 2020 pandemic in Ocean Beach, San Diego by Doah’s Daydream. Island Grunge fuses elements of hard rock, punk and Hawaiian island pop reggae with powerful vocals.
Lead singer and songwriter Doah was born in Seoul Korea, grew up in Oahu Hawaii and currently making her daydream come true in CA. Her love for reggae, Hawaiian Reggae, Island pop R&B music fusing with hard rock punk has created something so unique and powerful. Some say they’re the NEXT No Doubt.
