Alyssa Jacey is an award-winning singer/songwriter whose stage performances are “utterly endearing,” raves best selling author James Noles. “Alyssa has a natural ability to make immediate, authentic connections with her audiences,” says world renowned manager, Doc McGhee (who currently still manages KISS, managed Darius Rucker, discovered Bon Jovi and others). She was just shy of 24 when she learned she could sing and had a knack for songwriting. However, you might have seen her on a bigger stage before her music career started, sharing the Super Bowl 37 Halftime Show as a professional dancer with Shania, Sting, Bon Jovi and No Doubt. A few particularly notable things about AJ’s reputation that precede her; her work ethic as a DIY indie, enthusiastic and comedic personality, and most importantly, how she uses her blue brand to donate to Alzheimer’s. “My grandma was my everything. We were extremely close. I was with her all the way through her last few breaths. She passed from Alzheimer’s 1 month after I started singing and never got to see a show. I promised myself that if I ever got to a place where I could give back through music, Alzheimer’s would be my charity and I’d use my blue brand to do it.” Her addiction, as she calls her love affair with blue, started when she was 16. By the time her singing career began about a decade later, she had unknowingly already branded herself as the blue girl. “I use the phrase ‘Bring the crew and wear your BLUE!’ to encourage fans (aka The Blue Crew) to bring their friends to shows and deck themselves out in their favorite shades of blue. It’s a fun way to connect with each other, but more importantly, for every person who dresses in all blue, $1 from their ticket will get donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
