The term it’s only Rock & Roll they hold dear, but that doesn’t mean there are no other styles thrown into their well crafted songs such as Funk, Reggae, Jazz, Latin, Rockabilly and a variety of cover material to fit any given situation whether acoustic or electric. Tamar Berk has been kicking around bands for years now, making a name for herself in a slew of Chicago and Portland, OR bands w/ releases on Kill Rock Stars, Minty Fresh, & Invisible Records. Tamar’s first solo album “The Restless Dreams of Youth” released in 2021 was nominated for Best Pop Album & Album of the Year in the San Diego Music Awards and her second solo album “Start at the End” released in April 2022 landed two singles on NPR’s New Music Fridays playlist, charted in the top 200 NACC College Radio Charts, and was nominated for Best Pop Artist and Best Pop in this year’s San Diego’s Music Award. Tamar is currently working on her third full length album with Matt Walker (Smashing Pumpkins, Filter, Garbage, Morrissey) and Sean O’Keefe (Beach Bunny, Plain White T’s). Tamar describes her music as indie pop with a twist of the 90s and has been compared to Liz Phair, Suzanne Vega, Juliana Hatfield and Aimee Mann.
